Lodging Accommodations
Hueston Woods Lodge & Conference Center offers the perfect combination of modern amenities and a casual atmosphere. Relax in a lodge room that features a private balcony overlooking Acton Lake or in a cottage that has undergone extensive renovations and is now completely transformed inside and out.
Note: Pets are not permitted in any lodge rooms or family cottages.
The Lodge
There are several types of lodge rooms for a total of 92 rooms: king rooms, double lake view rooms, double rooms, ADA compliant rooms and luxury suites. Check-in for lodge rooms is at 3:00 p.m. and check-out is at 12:00 p.m.
King Rooms have one king sized bed in the room. Three lakeside king rooms offer a private balcony overlooking beautiful Acton Lake. All king rooms are non-smoking, have cable television, coffee makers, refrigerators and air conditioning. Adjoining rooms are available. Two king rooms are ADA compliant.
Double Lakeview Rooms have two double beds. They all have a private balcony overlooking beautiful Acton Lake, cable television, coffee makers, refrigerators and air conditioning. All rooms are non-smoking. Adjoining rooms are also available. Four double Lakeview rooms are ADA compliant.

Luxury Suites consist of two separate rooms. The sleeping side has a king size bed, plasma TV, desk, treadmill and a small bath with multi-head shower unit. The other side has a plasma TV, DVD/VCR, leather couch and chair, coffee maker, refrigerator, ironing board and iron, wet bar, and features a large whirlpool with telephone, TV and your own personal robe. Each side has a private balcony overlooking beautiful Acton Lake.
Cottages
We offer three types of cottages: family, couples and premier cottages. There are 25 two bedroom cottages, 10 one bedroom cottages, and two premier cottages with fireplaces, grills, linen and furnished kitchens. Maid service is not available at the cottages but we offer linen exchange on Wednesdays for weekly rentals.
Located about a mile from the lodge, the cottages are in a wooded setting with easy access to all the lodge has to offer; indoor and outdoor swimming pools, game room, restaurant and lounge, lake, paintball course and golf course. Check-in for cottages is at 4:30 p.m. and check-out is at 10:00 a.m.
Family Cottages
The two-bedroom family cottages have been completely renovated and feature gas fireplaces, cable TV (including bedrooms), DVD/VCR, new furnishings and furniture, and a fully equipped kitchen, including coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. Each family cottage has a stove and oven and a refrigerator/freezer. They retain their rustic charm inside with wooden paneling and comfortable furniture while providing all of the luxuries of a lodge, including central heat and air-conditioning. One bedroom has a queen-size bed. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom, a single on top, and a single pull out trundle. The screened-in porch holds a picnic table and additional seating. Outside, each cottage has its own charcoal grill, firepit ring and picnic table.
Couples Cottages
The charming one bedroom couples cottages can sleep three people with a bunk bed (a single bed on the top bunk, a double bed on the bottom bunk) and feature a gas fireplace, cable television, and fully equipped kitchens, including coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. Although there is no porch, the cottages are located on the edge of Acton Lake, providing some of our best cottage views. Additionally, two couples cottages allow a maximum of 2 pets per cottage. Please inquire upon making reservations. Outside, each cottage has its own charcoal grill, firepit ring and picnic table.
Premier Cottages
The premier cottages are located on the lakeside, approximately 1 mile from the lodge. They have one large bedroom with a queen-size bed and a bunk bed (a single bed on the top bunk and a single bed on the bottom bunk). New wooden paneling in the kitchen/living area gives the cottage its rustic feel, but the amenities are modern; they include two gas fireplaces (one in the large bedroom), and cable TV, DVD/VCR, telephone, wireless Internet access and central heat and air conditioning. New furniture and carpet, as well as new fixtures and counter tops in both kitchen and bathroom guarantee a comfortable stay. Towels and linens are provided and the kitchens are fully furnished with a stove and oven, refrigerator and freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, cookware and dishes. The screened-in porch holds a picnic table and additional seating.
Please note that our lodge, in accordance with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, provides a smoke-free environment to park guests. We ask that this non-smoking policy be observed in all public areas, including the dining room. We thank you for your cooperation.
The lodge is a liquor permit holder, and in accordance with the Ohio Liquor Laws, alcoholic beverages purchased off premises are not permitted. Again, we thank you for your cooperation. Outside, each cottage has its own charcoal grill, firepit ring and picnic table.
Camping
We offer 255 family campsites with electrical outlets on the west side of the lake. The area is provided with showers, flush toilets, laundry facilities and trailer waste station. Picnic tables and fire rings are also provided. 236 non-electric sites are also available. These sites have picnic tables, fire rings and vault-type latrines. Rates range from $11.00 - $16.00 per night. Our Camp Store is open during weekends in April; daily May 15 through September 15; and during weekends from Sept 15 through October.
